PM Modi's Sikkim Visit Cancelled, Was Scheduled To Launch Projects Worth Rs 750 Crore
Due to bad weather, PM Modi's Sikkim visit for the statehood's 50th anniversary is cancelled.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Sikkim scheduled for Thursday has been cancelled due to inclement weather. The PM was scheduled to travel to Gangtok for the 50th anniversary celebrations of Sikkim’s statehood and inaugurate projects worth Rs 750 crore. He will now virtually address the gathering from Badogra at 10 am.
During his visit to the North Eastern state, Modi was also scheduled to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for several projects including a 500-bed district hospital worth over Rs 750 crore in Namchi, a passenger ropeway at Sangachoeling in Pelling in Gyalshing district, and a statue of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji at Atal Amrit Udyan in Gangtok.
Apart from Sikkim, Modi is also slated to visit Bihar and Bengal on Thursday and Uttar Pradesh on Friday.
