PM Modi is set to take part in Diwali festivities in Ayodhya as he is expected to offer prayers at Ram Mandir on Sunday, a day ahead of Diwali as told by official sources to news agency PTI. Preparations are in full swing in Ayodhya to celebrate Diwali.
The UP government has stepped up measures to ensure that preparations to celebrate the sixth ‘Deepotsav’ in Ram ki Paidi ghats be completed on time.
The Deeptosav tradition began when the Yogi Adityanath government came to power in 2017. Last year, 9 lakh diyas were lit - setting a new Guinness World Record - to mark the occasion on Diwali.
