PM Narendra Modi Birthday Celebration LIVE: Prime Minister Narendra Modi turns 71 on Friday and the BJP has drawn plans to make the day historic. While the party aims to create a record of maximum COVID-19 vaccination, it will also embark on 21-day "Seva aur Samarpan" campaign.
On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has planned to achieve the highest number of COVID-19 vaccinations recorded on a single day, the party's national president Jagat Prakash Nadda had informed. "On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday on September 17, BJP workers at booth level will help people get vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to achieve the highest number of vaccinations on a single day," said Nadda while addressing a press conference in Delhi.
- BJP President JP Nadda will also launch the "Seva aur Samarpan" (service and dedication) campaign at BJP Headquarters at 10.45 am today.

Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey said that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar directed the health department to run a special vaccination campaign across the state on the occasion of PM Narendra Modi's birthday. Therefore, the Health Department will administer 30 lakh vaccine doses today.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will begin the day with his usual routine. He would take a bath and meditate after completing his daily yoga and workout schedule.
He will then check his mail and give instructions to the respective authorities pertaining to the work to be undertaken. Then, he will go on to scan the news of the day and read the daily newspaper. The Prime Minister's day would be busy as usual. In his 16 to 18 hours of work, he will hold more than half a dozen physical and virtual meetings.
A virtual exhibition begin on the NaMo app on Friday midnight, on the occasion of PM Narendra Modi's birthday. The exhibition will be based on the Prime Minister's life.
People will be able to give their best wishes to the Prime Minister on this app if they promise that they would try to use products made in India, strive for cleanliness, and encourage environmental protection by planting trees.
In order to wish PM Modi on his birthday, people will also have to commit to doing community service mentioned in the "Amrit Prayas" section of the NaMo App. For this, they have to either participate in blood donation camps, cleanliness drives, service in old age homes, or participate in similar social service activities. Sulabh International NGO Undertakes Cleanliness Drives To Mark PM Modi's Birthday
Sulabh International, an NGO which runs a toilet network across the country, celebrated Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 71st birthday on Friday by organising cleanliness drives at 71 locations in Uttar Pradesh.
The NGO performed drives in Lucknow, Varanasi, Allahabad, Agra, Kanpur, and Jhansi, among other places in Uttar Pradesh to mark the day as "Swachhta Divas", a press release issued by it said.

The Indian Youth Congress on Friday celebrated Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 71st birthday as National Unemployment Day, alleging that the Modi government had been "lying for the past seven years in the name of employment.
Terming the Indian Youth Congress' (IYC) Halla Bol programme a "revolution" against unemployment, IYC national president Srinivas B V said unemployment in the country has severely increased under the Modi regime.

PM Modi Birthday LIVE: Goa guv announces financial aid to 71 orphanages, old age homes
Panaji (PTI): Goa Governor P S Sreedharan Pillai on Friday announced financial assistance to 71 orphanages and old age homes from the Governor's fund to mark the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 71st birthday.
The governor has also announced financial aid for 71 dialysis patients from the Governor's discretionary fund, a statement issued by Raj Bhavan said.
"Wishing Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of his birthday, the governor has announced financial aid for 71 old age homes, orphanages and other such institutions. Further, the governor has declared that 71 persons will receive financial assistance from Raj Bhavan for dialysis treatment," the statement read.
Interested persons and institutions should apply with all personal details and information about their activities, it stated.
The applications should be addressed to the secretary to the governor and must be submitted before September 30, it said, adding that the aid will be sanctioned on a first-come-first-serve basis.
