People Like Owaisi Want Jinnah Culture In India: Uttarakhand CM Dhami On Uniform Civil Code
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami lashed out at Owaisi and stated that people like him "push forward Jinnah-type culture."
A day after All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi for reducing the minority welfare budget by 40 per cent, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami lashed out at Owaisi and stated that people like him "push forward Jinnah-type culture," news agency ANI reported.
Speaking with media, Uttarakhand CM Dhami stated: "Under the leadership of PM Modi, the country has been moving forward. India is being recognised worldwide."

Earlier on Friday, Owaisi while lashing out at PM Modi had claimed that Muslim upper caste (UC) people are poorer than people belonging to Hindu Other Backward Class (OBC) in India. “PM Narendra Modi said that a “group” among Muslims doesn’t let Pasmanda Muslims progress. But the truth is that ALL Muslims are poor and UC Muslims are poorer than OBC Hindus. He’s the PM of all Indians, then why has he cut Minority Welfare budget by 40%?” Owaisi tweeted.
On Uniform Civil Code, CM Dhami said: "It's been more than a year since the UCC Committee has been functioning. The Committee informed us on June 30 that they have completed the draft. More work will be done and the process to implement it will be carried out," ANI reported.
