FIR Reveals How Parliament Intruders Smuggled Smoke Bombs Into Lok Sabha

Parliament Security Breach: The Special Cell of the Delhi Police has registered a case against the four individuals involved in the Lok Sabha security breach. The First Information Report (FIR) filed by the Duty Officer at the Parliament Street Police Station has now revealed details of how the intrusion was plotted minutely.

According to the FIR, Sagar Sharma hid the smoke canister inside his shoes. He was wearing sports shoes which had been modified for the purpose. First, the thickness of the rubber soles of his shoes was increased. Then, a cavity was carved inside the sole of the left shoe. The sole of the right shoe was also found to have been partly cut. The two used wet canisters of coloured smoke burst by Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D have also been seized. 

Slogans On Manipur Violence 

The duo was also planning to raise slogans on the Manipur violence as well. According to the FIR, two torn and damaged pamphlets were found on the duo — one had a printed "Jai Hind" slogan in English and a picture of a fist in tricolour and the other had an English slogan on the Manipur issue.

The two other suspects, Amol Shinde and Neelam, were arrested outside Parliament House. They were found to be associates of Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D, engaging in similar disruptive activities. ASI Surender Pal, who detained the suspects, produced four used canisters of creative colour smoke and one unused canister as evidence.

The FIR indicates that the preliminary inquiry suggests offences under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Sections 16 & 18 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). The charges include obstructing public servants, assaulting or using criminal force to deter public servants from discharging duty, house trespass, promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, etc., and criminal conspiracy.

The case has been forwarded to the Special Cell for further investigation, as per the instructions of senior officers. The four accused individuals are expected to face legal consequences for their actions inside the Parliament premises.
