'Papa, You Are With Me..': Rahul Gandhi Pays Tribute To Rajiv Gandhi On 78th Birth Anniversary
Taking to Twitter, Rahul Gandhi stated: "Papa, you are with me every moment, in my heart. I will always try that I can fulfill the dream you dreamed for the country."
At Vir Bhumi on Saturday, Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra paid tribute to their father, former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, on the occasion of his 78th birthday.
Robert Vadra, KC Venugopal, and Mallikarjun Kharge, the leader of the opposition, were among them. Rajiv Gandhi was India's sixth prime minister from 1984 to 1989, when he was killed by the LTTE in 1991.

Ashok Gehlot, the chief minister of Rajasthan, will officially open the Rajiv Gandhi Center for Advanced Technology (R-CAT) in Jaipur on this day.
While announcing the inaugural, CM Ghelot on his official Twitter handle writes: “Tributes to former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Late Shri Rajiv Gandhi on his 78th birth anniversary. Shri Rajiv Gandhi realised the potential and importance of information technology and laid its foundation in India three decades ago giving birth to a glorious era of I.T in the country."

The day will be recognised as Women Political Empowerment Day, according to the All India Mahila Congress. “Owing to his immense contribution in providing grassroots leadership to women through 73rd & 74th Amendment, Mahila Congress shall observe #WomenPoliticalEmpowermentDay today,'' the women’s wing of the party tweeted.

Odisha Congress Sevadal posted a photo of Rajiv Gandhi's Private Pilots Licence. Rajiv Gandhi held a commercial pilot's licence and flew for Indian Airlines, the country's main airline.
