Pakistani Teenager Crosses Gujarat Border Into India After Fight With Family
BSF has handed over the youngster to the Khavda police station in Gujarat's Kutch region after finishing preliminary interrogation.
New Delhi: Border Security Force (BSF) soldiers detained a 15-year-old Pakistani kid along the international border at Khavda in Gujarat's Kutch district. The child was apprehended at 11 a.m. on Sunday after crossing the border fence near pillar number 1099.
The teenage boy is from Sindh Sahichok in Pakistan's Tharparkar area. BSF has handed over the youngster to the Khavda police station in Gujarat's Kutch region after finishing preliminary interrogation and obtaining a medical examination at the community health centre in Khavda village.
"As per a preliminary inquiry by the BSF, the boy mentioned that he had quarrelled with his family members and ran away from his home," the officials told PTI.
Another such incident did round earlier this month when a 12-year-old Bangladeshi child was caught by the Border Security Force (BSF) on his way back via the International Boundary after visiting his grandfather in Murshidabad, West Bengal. As a goodwill gesture, the BSF team turned the minor over to Border Guard Bangladesh after a standard questioning.
On July 22, BSF personnel detained a young kid from the vicinity of Border Out Post Pirojpur who was attempting to return to Bangladesh by crossing the international border.
According to Vishwabandhu, the 78 Battalion's Officiating Commanding Officer, an investigation has revealed that this juvenile child did not come to India with the goal of any harm or wrongdoing.
"The boy has crossed the International Boundary to meet his grandfather whose name is Iramul Sheikh and who lives in the Indian village of Bajitpur in the Murshidabad district. Though crossing the International Boundary comes under the category of a crime, but out of respect for the boy’s future and the sentiments of the border people, the boy is handed over to the BGB as a goodwill gesture," he official said as noted by News18.
