The drone was later recovered following an intensive search operation by BSF in Rajoke village in Punjab’s Tarn Taran district.

New Delhi: The Border Security Force (BSF) intercepted a Pakistani drone near India-Pakistan border from Punjab’s Tarn Taran district after it violated the India airspace on Friday, news agency ANI reported. According to the report, the drone was later recovered following an intensive search operation by BSF in Rajoke village. “The recovered drone is a Quadcopter of model DJI Matrice 350 RTK series,” BSF said as reported by ANI.

Earlier in June, BSF in a joint operation with Punjab Police recovered another Pakistani drone from the outskirts of Dal village in Tarn Taran district.

“Today, on 14th June, during morning hours, a Joint search operation was launched by BSF with Punjab Police on the outskirts of Dal village, Tarn Taran district. During the search at 9am, a drone was recovered from the farming field adjacent to the village. The recovered drone is a Quadcopter of model DJI Matrice 300 RTK series,” officials of BSF Punjab Frontier had said.

In a similar incident, BSF recovered a Pakistani drone on the outskirts of Shaidpur Kalan village in the Amritsar district.

According to ANI, an official spokesperson of the BSF Punjab Frontier had said that the recovered drone was a Quadcopter of model DJO Matrice 300 RTK series.

In June, a drone flying near the Akshardham Temple in Delhi was seized by police and a Bangladeshi woman operating it was interrogated, news agency PTI reported. Akshardham Temple in east Delhi is a 'No Drone Zone' area.

After the drone was spotted near the temple, a police team from Mandawali police station reached the spot and found that a Bangladeshi woman was operating it without permission.

The drone was seized and a case was registered under Section 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the Indian Penal Code.
