Pakistan Shells J&K's Kupwara for 2nd Straight Night After Operation Sindoor

Pakistan targeted civilian areas in the Karnah area, firing shells and mortars after midnight. The Indian armed forces retaliated effectively against the firing.

Pakistan continued shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara for the second day after India targeted terror sites in Pakistan to avenge the Pahalgam attack.

Pakistan targeted civilian areas in the Karnah area, firing shells and mortars after midnight. The Indian armed forces retaliated effectively against the firing.

There were no reports of any casualties so far.

On Wednesday, an Indian Army jawan was killed in shelling by Pakistan along the LoC in Poonch district.

"GOC and all ranks of White Knight Corps salute the supreme sacrifice of L/Nk Dinesh Kumar of 5 Fd Regt, who laid down his life on 07 May 25 during Pakistan Army shelling. We also stand in solidarity with all victims of the targeted attacks on innocent civilians in Poonch Sector," the official account of 16 Corps said in a post on X.
