Operation Romeo Returns: Gurugram Police arrest 121 people in two hours

GURUGRAM: The Gurugram Police yesterday night arrested 121 people at MG Road under its 'Operation Romeo Returns' programme, launched to curb eve teasing incidents in the city.   Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Dharna Yadav said that this operation of two hours was launched in light of recent increase in incidents of eve teasing in the city. She also said that this operation was carried because girls feel insecure in night as Gurugram is having its own co-operate world. In the past, the police have launched several such operations to curb eve teasing. On August 27, the city police had arrested 50 persons at the same location. Around 20 cops, dressed as civilians, undertook the operation.
