No nation can guarantee 'zero violence' says Home Minister Rajnath Singh

Home Minister also said that the issue of Khalistan is a closed issue and will not rise again

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday became a part of Shikharsamaagam in Lucknow and spoke about various issues related to safety and security issues in the country; ranging from differences of the country with Pakistan to Bharatiya Janta Party’s differences with its allies. Below are few important statements made by HM Rajnath:
  • Home Minister Rajnath, while speaking on continuous infiltration by Pakistan and attacking Indian civilians, including the security official warned Pakistan to mend its ways. “Pakistan will have to mend its ways” he said
 
  • Home Minister also said that the issue of Khalistan is a closed issue and will not rise again
 
  • HM further on being questioned about straining of relationship with BJP’s allies, said “It is normal to have small differences in a family. I believe Shiv Sena will stay with us”
 
  • HM Rajnath also spoke about various incidents of mob lynching which mostly happen over cow protection, saying “Mob lynching must be stopped. But, no nation can guarantee zero violence in the country”
 
  • Commenting on government’s latest appeal to Election Commission to conduct simultaneous Lok Sabha and assembly polls, he said “"It is possible to have simultaneous Lok Sabha and Assembly polls; nothing can be better than that”
