No India Without Hindus, No Hindus Without India: RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat

While addressing an event in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior, RSS Chief said, "There is no India without Hindus and no Hindus without India."

New Delhi: Mohan Bhagwat, the chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), on Saturday claimed that there is no India without Hindus and no Hindus without India.

He went on to say that India and Hindus are inextricably linked.

While addressing an event in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior, RSS Chief said, "There is no India without Hindus and no Hindus without India."

"India stood on its own. This is the essence of Hindutva. For this reason, India is the nation of Hindus," he added.

Bhagwat, when asked about India's division, replied, "India has split apart after partition, and Pakistan was born. It occurred because we lost sight of the fact that we are Hindus. This was likewise forgotten by the Muslims in the area. The strength of people who identify as Hindus have waned, and their numbers have also dwindled. As a result, Pakistan ceased to be India."

The RSS chief further stated that the Hindu population is dwindling.

"You'll see that the number and strength of Hindus have dwindled...or that Hindutva's emotion has dwindled... If Hindus wish to remain Hindus, Bharat must become 'Akhand'," he further added.
