Navjot Singh Sidhu doesn't join AAP, forms 'new front' 'Awaaz-e-Punjab'

New Delhi: Former BJP MP Navjot Singh Sidhu has finally put an end to speculations of joining AAP in Punjab by forming a new front with ex-hockey player Pargat Singh and Bains brothers. The new party is named Aawaaz-e-Punjab. Olympian Pargat Singh informed about the new front in post on Facebook. He is seen standing along with Sidhu and Bains brothers — MLAs Simarjit Singh Bains and Balwinder Singh Bains. Sidhu, a former Lok Sabha MP, had resigned from Rajya Sabha seat last month. He had claimed that he quit Rajya Sabha as the BJP had asked him to stay away from Punjab. Since then Sidhu had kept everyone guessing as to which party would he join ahead of Punjab elections. Speculations became rife of entering AAP when he met Delhi Chief Minister and AAP's National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal at the latter's residence. Kejriwal said the cricketer-turned-politician has not put any pre-condition and just needs "time to think". After his sudden resignation from the Rajya Sabha last month, the former BJP MP from Amritsar had lashed out at the party leadership.
