Mumbai Rains LIVE UPDATES: Rains stop in entire state, relief expected
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy to very heavy rain till Thursday. Amid torrential rain, the Tulsi lake, which supplies water to the people of the city, started overflowing yesterday. Mumbai's pervasive Dabbawalas, the tiffin careers of the city, have suspended their work today in entire city.
- Train No. 12215 Delhi Sarai Rohilla – Bandra Terminus of 09.07.18 will be short terminated at Umargam Road and will be reversed as Train No. 12216 from Umargam Road at 14.30 hrs today i.e. 10.07.18.

- Services of AC local have been suspended today in view of heavy rains.
- Flights delayed by up to 45 minutes.
- Train No. 12009 and 12010 of 10.07.18 has been cancelled due to water logging at Nallasopara.
- Water-logging in most low-lying areas have disrupted normal life and cause traffic congestion. Areas most affected are Sion, Kings Circle, Dadar, Hind Mata junction.
- Railway tracks in Nallasopara are inundated. Local trains between Vasai and Virar came to a halt due to heavy rains.
- According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the metropolis has received 54% of its average monsoon season rainfall just in the last 20 days.

Mumbai's pervasive Dabbawalas, the tiffin careers of the city, have suspended their work today in entire city. "We did not collect the tiffins today, because of the water logging across the city. Around 300 people were stuck in their homes in Vasai town of the adjoining Palghar district due to waterlogging in the area. However, they refused to be evacuated even as the water level receded. The residents preferred to stay in their homes instead of relocating to some temporary shelter in response to the district administration's appeal for evacuation, a district information officer said. Some of them accepted food packets given by the administration, he said.
