Mumbai Rain Update: Due to the southwest monsoon, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rains in Mumbai. The IMD has issued a yellow alert here for July 24 and 25.

Mumbai Rain Update: The southwest monsoon may bring heavy to very heavy rains in Mumbai and adjoining areas. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for Mumbai today. The IMD has predicted heavy to very heavy rain in many areas. IMD has issued a yellow alert here for July 24 and 25 has expressed the possibility of heavy rain in many areas.

The administration also has to deal with the problem of waterlogging in many places. However, due to light rain in the city on Thursday, relief operations have accelerated. On Thursday, local train services were also affected for some time in some areas of Mumbai. However, after some time the situation normalised. 

Rainfall has been recorded in Mumbai so far in July. June 

A record of 1,040 mm of rain has been recorded in Mumbai in July. This is the fourth consecutive year when the rainfall in July has crossed the 1000 mm mark. It has received 2,002.5 mm of rain since June, which is 90 percent more than the target of full monsoon rain. 

Konkan and Central Railway canceled many trains. 

According to the Meteorological Department, the situation has remained dangerous due to heavy rains in many areas of Maharashtra since yesterday. Konkan Railway and Central Railway have canceled many of their trains, while some trains have been diverted. There have also been reports of landslides from Pune and Raigad due to heavy rains. 

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the railway tracks have been uprooted due to the landslide at Kasara Ghat near Mumbai due to which Central Railway is affected. Due to this, the trains between Badlapur and Kalyan station are closed. Relief work continues.
