Mumbai Police react to Shobhaa De tweet

New Delhi: Well-known author, columnist and novelist Shobhaa De’s tweet stirred controversy. She tweeted a picture, making fun of an overweight policeman what she thought was a Mumbai police-officer.
Her tweet triggered a storm of abuse and criticism on Twitter. She has been criticized for body shaming of a police officer. The Police personnel in the picture, was from Madhya Pradesh Police as it was indicated by his shoulder badge.
