Mumbai Local Commences For Fully Vaccinated Citizens, Know Guidelines
On the 75th anniversary of Independence, Mumbai local train service has started again. Earlier, due to Corona, the facility was closed for citizens for a long time.
Mumbai local train, considered to be the life of Mumbai commenced again today on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Independence. It started as announced by CM Uddhav Thackeray on August 8. The chief minister had already announced in his announcement that firstly the passengers who had been fully vaccinated will get permission to travel. According to the chief minister's order, passengers who have been fully vaccinated today, have started travelling to the Mumbai locality. The government has currently started a pass system for those travelling in local trains that can get both online and offline.
Before starting a local train in Mumbai, the state government launched an online facility on Thursday, allowing people who have taken both doses of corona vaccine and have completed 14 days of registration at the station to travel on monthly season tickets.
We have developed a universal travel pass system so that citizens can get e-passes to travel easily, the BMC said in a statement. A person who has taken both doses of the Covid vaccine can get a pass to travel by visiting a http://epassmsdma.mahait.org developed by the state government to travel in a Mumbai local train.
In addition, the BMC had started the offline Covid-19 vaccination certificate process from Wednesday itself so that the fully vaccinated passenger does not have any difficulty in travelling in the local train and they can easily get travel passes through offline as well.
Mumbai local trains were stopped for common citizens after the second wave of Corona entered. During this time, only those associated with essential services were allowed to travel by local train.
