MCD polls: Upset over ticket distribution, Congress supporters tear Maken's posters

New Delhi: Angry over ticket distribution for the upcoming MCD polls in the national capital, several Congress leaders were seen tearing apart Delhi Congress Chief Ajay Maken’s posters, in order to show their angst to the party. Commenting on party workers’ reaction over ticket distribution Maken said, “Not everybody can get a ticket”.He also said that “The party wants to work for Rahul Gandhi and has asked to not give tickets based on their family”. While justifying the distribution of the tickets, he said “I have represented this constituency four times”. Congress' 1st list of candidates Congress' 1st list of candidates Congress' 2nd list of candidates Congress' 2nd list of candidates The Congress had formed a three-member committee to screen the names of the candidates and listen to the grievances of the workers involved in the distribution of tickets for MCD polls. The committee, comprising Anand Sharma, Randeep Surejwala and Manic Tagore, screened the names and met those who have some grievances to redress it.
