MCD polls: Here are the highlights of Arvind Kejriwal's AAP manifesto

New Delhi: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday released Aam Aadmi Party’s manifesto for upcoming MCD elections. One of the biggest highlights of the AAP’s election manifesto is waiving house tax against all residential properties. (READ THE COMPLETE AAP MANIFESTO) The other highlight of the manifesto is that AAP, if voted to power in the MCD, would ensure that salaries reach the workers’ accounts by the 7th of every month. "Sanitation workers will be provided masks and gloves and other modern equipment so that they do not face health hazards." Keeping cleanliness and hygiene as the main agenda, Kejriwal promised to make the city dirt free within a year. He said Delhi will be dengue and chikungunya-free in a span of three years. The AAP manifesto promised to clear landfill sites by 2019. “AAP broke the back of power, education, water mafias through Delhi Govt. We will now bring down the parking mafia,” Kejriwal said. He said important registration certificates and licenses will be issued online that will end corruption in government offices. Kejriwal said the Delhi government and MCD is responsible  for the welfare of every new born child in the city.
