Massive fire engulfs plastic wholesale godown in Jodhpur

The high-rising flames caused panic in the locality and the nearby houses had to be evacuated.

New Delhi: In an early morning accident, a wholesale godown of plastic items in Jodhpur caught massive fire. More than a hundred fire trucks are present at the spot to gain control over fire. The fire took a gigantic form as the fire-vehicles took time to reach the godown which is located in a residential area of the city. Image: ANI Image: ANI The fire engulfed the building charring its walls and ceiling.  A badly burnt portion of the building came crashing down; however, it didn’t do much damage as the area had already been cleared off. The police said that they had not received any complaint about the godown being located in a residential area. The godown has been operating since long and it was the responsibility of the municipal corporation to get it removed. The locals said that they had complained about it in the municipality but it never took any action. The fire trucks are still present at the spot trying to bring the fire under control.
