Mandsaur rape case: Victim's condition improving; Scindia leads candle march
A senior medical officer informed that the condition of the girl was "continuously improving" and she was likely to be discharged in about two weeks.
New Delhi: Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia on Saturday paid a visit to the family members of the seven-year-old girl raped in Madhya Pradesh’s Mandsaur.
He also led a candle march protesting against the barbarism and said that Madhya Pradesh has gradually turned into a "rape capital".
The girl is being treated at MY hospital in Indore.
A senior medical officer informed that the condition of the girl was "continuously improving" and she was likely to be discharged in about two weeks. The girl was raped on June 26 after she was abducted from outside her school by two men on the pretext of getting sweets for her. As per reports, the rapists attempted to slit the throat of the child after raping her. She suffered grievous injuries to her neck, face, head and private parts. As per the doctors the girl is conscious and talking to her parents. Madhya Pradesh police arrested one more person in connection with the alleged abduction and sexual assault of the girl. Asif (24) was held from Madarpura locality of the city, after Irfan alias Bhaiyu (20), arrested on Wednesday night, named him as his accomplice in the heinous crime.आज इंदौर एमवाय अस्पताल में मंदसौर की पीड़िता से मिलने के बाद मन बहुत आहत है। मैंने पीड़िता के परिवार को भरोसा दिलाया कि जब तक अपराधी को कड़ी से कड़ी सज़ा नही मिलती, हम नही रुकेंगे।
