Suvendu Adhikari In Touch With BJP Since 2014, Was Never Reliable: Mamata Banerjee To ABP News

When asked about her decision to contest elections from Nandigram, Mamata Banerjee said that she also sticks to her commitment.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday spoke to ABP News and touched upon some of the crucial aspects of the ongoing Assembly polls in the state. During the interaction, Banerjee once again reiterated that people of Bengal are with Trinamool Congress (TMC) and they will help her in defeating the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

While hitting out at the saffron party, the TMC supremo said that one can bring supporters and workers from outside, but she has support of people of West Bengal, whom BJP can never buy.

She also alleged that voters in several districts are being threatened to vote for the BJP.

While clarifying the claims on TMC workers and leaders being called traitors by her, Mamata Banerjee said that she never said something like that but also pointed out that those who left TMC are being called traitors and she agrees to it.

While hitting out at her confidante-turned-adversary Suvendu Adhikari who is also her political opponent from Nandigram constituency, Mamata Banerjee said that all the accusations made by BJP leader are baseless as he does not want me come to Nandigram.

Banerjee also said that Adhikari was never reliable. "He joined the BJP only because of some monetary deals. He was in touch with Amit Shah since 2014 and Adhikari also controls the Police in Nandigram," Mamata Banerjee said.

When asked about her decision to contest elections from Nandigram, Mamata Banerjee said that she also sticks to her commitment. "The excitement I saw in people of Nandigram forced me to contest from there," she added.

Banerjee also claimed that the BJP is trying to fabricate the election results and alleged that even in Nandigram the saffron party is involved in wrongdoings in as many as 10 polling booths.
