All MP Ministers Present In Cabinet Meeting Submit Resignations To CM; All Resignations Accepted

"We have expressed our solidarity with the chief minister and submitted resignations to him in the cabinet meeting," the senior minister told PTI.

Bhopal: All ministers present in a cabinet meeting chaired by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath on Monday night submitted their resignations to him, which have been accepted.  "We have expressed our solidarity with the chief minister and submitted resignations to him in the cabinet meeting," the senior minister told PTI. As per the report by ANI, only 16 cabinet ministers were present at the meeting today who have tendered their resignations to the CM, which have been accepted. The Chief Minister is likely to reconstitute the state cabinet.  While talking to media after the meeting, Congress leader PC Sharma said,  "All ministers, present at the meeting, have handed over their resignations (to CM Kamal Nath). We have requested him to reconstitute the state cabinet and tackle the situation created by BJP...Sarkar bachi hui hai, poore 5 saal chalegi." Another Congress leader, Umang Singhar, was quoted by ANI  as saying, "All the 20 ministers who were here, have tendered their resignations. CM can reconstitute the state cabinet now. All are together. Scindia ji (Jyotiraditya Scindia) also is with Congress. Agar mantrimandal banana hai toh sarkar surakshit hai." Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has reached Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi's residence at 10 Janpath. A legislative party meeting of Congress party to take place tomorrow evening. Nath had earlier cut short his Delhi visit and rushed to Bhopal where he had called an urgent cabinet meeting at around 10 PM after intense speculation about a possible revolt by a faction led by senior leader Jyotiraditya Scindia who, along with at least 17 legislators, went incommunicado. Many of these legislators had flown to Bengaluru earlier in the day. "I will not allow (anyone) to destabilise my government with the help of mafia, the chief minister said in a statement in the cabinet meeting. I have dedicated all my life to serving the people, but the BJP has indulged in immoral ways to destabilise my government, Nath said. Earlier today, Kamal Nath said that he had discussed the political situation with party chief Sonia Gandhi and alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party was perturbed as its "corruption over its 15-year rule is going to be exposed". The Chief Minister also said that Congress MLAs who were reportedly missing have returned and informed him that they were on `tirth yatra'. Earlier, allegations were levelled against the BJP for reportedly holding hostages at least eight Madhya Pradesh MLAs against their will in ITC Resort in Gurugram's Manesar and Bengaluru. In 2018 Assembly results, Congress, which won 114 seats in the 230-member Assembly formed the government with the support of four Independent MLAs and two BSP MLAs, and a legislator from the Samajwadi Party (SP). The BJP had secured 109 seats in the state Assembly.
