WATCH: Priyanka Gandhi Shares Light Moment As She Gets Bouquet Without Flowers During Indore Rally

In a light-heart moment, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was accidently welcomed with an empty bouquet during a rally in Indore on Monday making her chuckle.

In a hilarious incident, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who has been busy with poll campaigning, couldn't hold back her laughter when a party leader handed her a bouquet without flowers. The incident occurred in Madhya Pradesh's Indore on Monday, where she was presented with a neatly wrapped bouquet with just decorative leaves on the side. Priyanka pointed out the same to the leader who gave her the bouquet.

In the shared video of the political rally, it can be seen that the Congress general-secretary is welcomed as the leaders walk to her and greet her. She can be seen smiling at their gesture and greeting them back. Some leaders welcomed Priyanka with roses and posed for photographs with her. But Priyanka was surprised when a man walked into the frame holding what looked like a bouquet and handed it over to her, and she started laughing right after receiving it. The video shows that what was supposed to be a bouquet was actually only a wrap without flowers. While laughing at the situation, she points the same to the leader, as if asking about the missing flowers. The party workers, visibly flustered, respond while pointing behind him. Priyanka Gandhi continues to laugh as the man walks away.

The rally was aired live on the social media handles of Congress, along with Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's X (formerly Twitter) handles, on which she wrote, 'Indore is the land of Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar, known for justice, truth, and good governance. The people here will restore those values by eradicating corruption and bad governance.'

However, netizens commended her for her reaction. One person tweeted, "I liked the way she took it so sportingly". Another laughed along wrote, "My reaction was ditto this... My god this is so hilarious" with several laughing emojis. Similarly, one wrote, "Haha..it was funny how she pointed out.. 😀"

Soon after, Priyanka Gandhi took the stage and criticized the Union government for the rise in prices of onions and other essential commodities, saying it only tries to control inflation when elections are approaching.

She was addressing a rally in the Indore-5 Assembly seat in Madhya Pradesh.

"Onion prices have increased before Diwali, and housewives are upset about this. The government makes efforts to control inflation only when elections are approaching. The price of an LPG cylinder rose to Rs 1,400, and two months before the elections, the government reduced its price to Rs 400," she said.

Aren't people struggling with inflation earlier, the senior Congress leader asked.

Polls in the state will be held on November 17, and votes will be counted on December 3.
