'Country Understood How Chinese Army Entered...': Sanjay Raut On Parliament Security Breach

Uddhav Sena leader Sanjay Raut that the country must have understood how the Chinese Army entered Ladakh after the recent security breach in Parliament.

Questioning the securityregistehada scare triggered by a breach in Parliament on Wednesday, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay hasut said if there could be a lapse in Parliament one can understand the situation at the country's borders.

He said, "If there could be a security breach in the Parliament building then you can understand the situation at the country's borders. The country must have understood yesterday how China's army entered Ladakh...how intruders from Pakistan entered Kashmir and how terrorists came to Manipur."

Demanding answers from Home Minister Amit Shah and PM Modi, he said, "Our Parliament building has the strongest safety arrangements, but some men entered and jumped into the House causing chaos. PM and Home Minister are silent, they were busy in the elections campaign for a month."

A total of six accused have so far being apprehended by the Delhi police and charged with stringent anti-terror law, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), for breaching the security of Parliament and entering the Lok Sabha chamber. The incident saw two people jumping from the visitors' gallery and leaping across benches in the Lok Sabha chamber triggering a massive scare on the 22nd anniversary of the deadly 2001 terror attack on Parliament. The accused also opened gas cannisters emitting a yellow smoke.

The parliamentarians could be seen quickly rushing towards the accused and getting hold of them. A video showed the leaders grabbing the accused and raining slaps and punches on them.

The police responded swiftly and soon four men were held - two from inside and two from outside parliament. An inquiry as also been ordered by the Ministry of Home Affairs into the matter as the Opposition raised questions on the security and demanded answers from the ruling government.

The Delhi Police has registered a case under the stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act in connection with the Parliament security breach, officials said on Thursday.

Police officials said the case has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code relating to criminal conspiracy, trespassing, wantonly giving provocation, with intent to cause riot, obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions and assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty. Sections 16 and 18 of the UAPA have also been slapped against the accused.
