Kejriwal to flag off Lajpat Nagar-South Campus Pink line today, Here is all you need to know
The new metro line will be going to some of the most famous markets of Delhi, namely Sarojini Nagar, INA, South Extension and Lajpat Nagar.
NEW DELHI: Chief Minister Arvind will today be inaugurating the much awaited Pink Line of Delhi Metro from Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus to Lajpat Nagar stations.
The new metro line will be going to some of the most famous markets of Delhi, namely Sarojini Nagar, INA, South Extension and Lajpat Nagar. This line will also connect the north and the south campus of the Delhi University.

The section crosses from Lajpat to Sir Vishweshwaraiah Moti Bagh has six stations – Sir Bishweshwaraih Moti Bagh, Bhikaji Cama Place, Sarojini Nagar, INA, South Extension and Lajpat Nagar. This stretch is part of the 59 km-long Majlis Park-Shiv Vihar corridor (Pink Line) which falls under the Phase-III network of the DMRC. A total of 23 trains will be put into service, with a frequency of 5 minutes and 12 seconds during peak hours and 5 minutes and 45 seconds during non-peak hours, the senior official said. The travel time between INA and Rajouri Garden stations would reduce from 40 minutes to 23 minutes; Lajpat Nagar-Rajouri Garden stations from 45 to 28 minutes and Lajpat Nagar and Netaji Subhas Place (Red Line) from 47 minutes to 39 minutes.Delhi CM @ArvindKejriwal reaches Metro Bhawan to attend the Flagging-off Ceremony of Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus- Lajpat Nagar section of Pink Line of Delhi Metro. pic.twitter.com/DOOWHlJRMa
