KT Rama Rao Slams Rahul Gandhi Over 'Adani Contradictions' In T'gana & Centre: 'You've Become Laughing Stock'
KTR alleged that while the Congress criticises Adani and the Modi government for crony capitalism, its Telangana unit has welcomed Adani Group investments.
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President KT Rama Rao (KTR) has accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of double standards on the Adani issue. In a strongly-worded letter, KTR highlighted the Congress party’s contrasting positions on industrialist Gautam Adani at the national level and in Telangana under the leadership of TPCC Chief and CM Revanth Reddy.
KTR alleged that while the Congress criticises Adani and the Modi government for crony capitalism, its Telangana unit has welcomed Adani Group investments. He pointed to Revanth Reddy’s role in facilitating major deals for Adani at the World Economic Forum in Davos and questioned the sincerity of the Congress’s nationwide campaign against Adani.
BRS Working President and MLA KT Rama Rao said, “On the one hand you (Rahul Gandhi) call Adani a crony capitalist of PM Modi, on the other hand, your Telangana CM Revanth Reddy accepts Rs 100 crore investments for a proposed skills university. Adani also gets a red carpet welcome in Telangana by your CM. Rs 12,400 core worth of MoU of foreign investments has been signed by the Telangana government… I urge you not to continue this political farce. You have become a laughing stock...”

KTR also raised concerns about a purported Rs. 100 crore donation from Adani to Revanth Reddy which was allegedly returned after the BRS exposed it. He described this as a “textbook case of quid pro quo” and demanded Rahul Gandhi address these contradictions.
KTR questioned whether the Congress party is genuinely opposing Adani or merely using the issue to mislead the people of India.
KTR said: "Is Revanth Reddy working for the Congress party or acting as a proxy for the BJP and its corporate allies? Telangana deserves an answer. Your party cannot continue this political farce. The people of Telangana and the country are watching. It is time for you to come clean and clarify your stance. Will you question your own Chief Minister on his 'dosti' with Adani, or will you remain silent to protect his vested interests? The people of Telangana will not tolerate this hypocrisy any longer."
