Kerala groom asks bride for '5 mins' as he leaves wedding to play football

New Delhi: In a unique incident a Kerala bride was made to wait for her groom as he left in the middle of the ceremony in the ceremony only to play football.
As per reports, the groom asked the bride for 5 minutes as he left to play football in the middle of the ceremony, leaving the groom’s and bride’s family in dilemma.
This sudden escape left the bride’s family fuming after he returned.
The incident was also highlighted by Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore on his social media account, where he shared that Kerala football player named Ridvan asked his bride to excuse him for five minutes and went to play football for his team on their wedding night.
The minister further added that “He's a defender who plays for FIFA Manjeri, a Malappuram 7s league team. The bride and her family were angry at Ridvan when he returned”.
Fortunately, his team won the match and he played an integral part behind that win.
