Srinagar: Two militants were killed on Friday morning during an ongoing encounter between terrorists and security forces in Sutsu village of Jammu and Kashmir's Budgam district. Four more terrorists are believed to be trapped in the region. During the encounter, as many as four soldiers were injured with one reported to be in a critical situation. The terrorist killed and trapped are believed to be affiliated with terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) which was responsible for the deadly Pulwama attack last month. As per initial reports, several residents have been injured and rescue operation is underway. The security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the area. Forces recovered US-made sniper rifles from the slain Jaish terrorists. The terrorists were hiding in Budgam's Parigam area when the joint forces of Army and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) cordoned off the area on intelligence inputs about the presence of militants. This comes a day after an alleged Hizb-ul- Mujahideen terrorist arrested from Bijbehara, Anantnag in South Kashmir on Thursday. Rameez Ahmad Dar was arrested following intelligence inputs to security forces about his location, reported PTI. Three terrorists were neutralised on Thursday in an encounter in Shopian. The terrorists have been identified as Hizb-ul-Mujahideen and Lashkar-e-Taiba affiliates, Jammu and Kashmir Police said. Earlier this week, a terrorist hideout was busted in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shermal Shopian. As per police, incriminating material and other items were recovered from the site. The hideout was later blasted so that terrorist can't use it in the future. Even on Sunday arrested three terrorists affiliated to the proscribed terror organisation Jaish near a check-point at Narabal on the Srinagar-Baramulla Highway based on a credible input.
