According to reports, Kulgam Police and 9 Rashtriya Rifles recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition and arrested six JeM terrorist associates. Officials said a search operation was launched in Mirhama village that led to the recovery.

The arrested persons have been identified as Shahid Ahmad Padder, Ubaid Ahmad Itoo, Danish Ahmad Dar, Nawaz Ahmad Ganir, Aabid Mushtaq and Kifayat Ahmad Lone.

According to an official, during preliminary investigation, it was found that the militants were affiliated with the proscribed terror outfit JeM and were in touch with terror handlers across via various social media platforms.
