Spate Of Encounters Between Army And Terrorist In Poonch
After the first engagement between the Army and the terrorists in Dhera Ki Gali, also known as DKG, on October 11, 2021, combing and search operations have been ongoing in various locations of Poonch for the past two months.
The search was first limited to DKG in Poonch, but it was eventually expanded to include additional forest regions as well as the Rajouri district.
Following DKG, a large search effort in the Bhatta Durrian woods of Mendhar tehsil in the Poonch district was undertaken. Special teams have gone far into the forest, but no contact with the terrorists, who are said to be sheltering in natural caverns, has been made.
