'Inhuman Killing By So-Called Gau-Rakshak Gang Backed By BJP, RSS': Owaisi On Bhiwani Incident

AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi said that BJP promotes ‘Gau-Rakshak (Cow Vigilante)’ and these ‘radicalised elements’ kill people.

Bhiwani Incident: AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi has condemned the killing of two Rajasthan youths, Junaid and Nasir, in Haryana’s Bhiwani and blamed the Bharatiya Janta Party for the same. Owaisi lashed out at the BJP for promoting ‘Gau-Rakshak (Cow Vigilante)’ and said that it is these ‘radicalised elements’ who are killing people, reported ANI.

Owaisi further asked if PM Narendra Modi or Union Home Minister Amit Shah will speak on this particular incident.

"I condemn in the strongest words the killing of Junaid & Nasir by an organised gang in Haryana. One Monu named in the incident is patronised by BJP govt in Haryana. They're responsible for this incident. Will PM & HM speak on this incident?" Owaisi was quoted as saying by ANI.

Referring to the killing as ‘inhuman’, Owaisi said, "This is an inhuman killing of Junaid & Nasir by a so-called 'Gau-Rakshak' gang. These people are supported by BJP-RSS. These elements radicalised by BJP will turn against them tomorrow. Centre & BJP govt in Haryana should not protect and patronise such elements."

He accused BJP of promoting ‘radicalised elements’ and advised the saffron party to stop promoting them.

According to ANI, he said, "BJP is actively promoting such radicalised elements who in the garb of being 'Gau-Rakshaks' are killing people & indulging in extortion. They should stop promoting such people."

Reacting over the incident, former Haryana CM and Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda said that the incident signals the state has no law and order.

"The Bhiwani incident is a serious issue, it signals that Haryana has no law & order. It seems there is no government in the state. The case must be investigated & the accused must get punished," he added, quoted ANI.

The case came to light when two skeletons were found in a charred Bolero in Loharu in Haryana's Bhiwani district on Thursday. Following the discovery, Bharatpur Range Inspector General Gaurav Srivastava informed that a missing report of two men was filed at Gopalgarh Police Station. The Police were told that both were in a Bolero car. The same Bolero car was found in burnt condition in Loharu and the deceased person's identification would be done only after DNA analysis, he said.

"A missing report of two men was filed in Gopalgarh PS, Bharatpur. Their mobile phones were switched off. We started looking for them and were told that they were in a Bolero car and were violently assaulted and kidnapped," Gaurav Srivastava told news agency ANI.

"The same Bolero car was found in burnt condition in Loharu, Bhiwani district in Haryana. Two burnt bodies were also found. Their identification would be done only after DNA analysis. Special teams formed to nab those named in FIR filed by the victim's family. Those kidnapped were Junaid and Nasir. Junaid has five cases pertaining to cow smuggling against him," he added.
