IndiGo Air Hostess Molested By Drunk Passenger On Delhi-Shirdi Flight; Arrested

A drunk passenger, Sandeep Sumer Singh, allegedly molested an IndiGo air hostess near the toilet of a Delhi-Shirdi flight.

An IndiGo air hostess was allegedly molested by a drunk passenger on a Delhi-Shirdi flight in Maharashtra, reports news agency PTI, quoting police on Sunday. The accused was apprehended after the flight landed at the Shirdi airport on Friday afternoon.

According to the report quoting police, the passenger touched the air hostess inappropriately near the toilet of the flight. Aggrieved by the indecent act, the air hostess alerted her crew manager, who, in turn, informed security personnel after the flight landed at the Shirdi airport, the official said, adding that the passenger was taken into custody.

The passenger was escorted to the Rahata police station, where a case of molestation against him was registered. His medical examination confirmed that he had consumed alcohol. The official said the accused was served a notice by Rahata Police.

The man has been identified as Sandeep Sumer Singh. He is a government employeee from Churu, Rajasthan. The probe in the matter is underway.

Indigo gave details about the incident and said that the customer was handed over to the security agencies.

"We are aware of an incident on flight 6E 6404 from Delhi to Shirdi on May 2, 2025 where a customer behaved inappropriately towards cabin crew. Our crew followed standard procedures, and the customer was declared unruly. Upon landing, the customer was handed over to security agencies," the airline said.
