HRD Ministry announces universities ranking; JNU, HCU among top institutions

New Delhi: The Jawaharlal Nehru University and University of Hyderabad have performed quite well in ranking of Indian educational institutions, released on Monday by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development. According to the The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) unveiled by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development on Monday, The JNU is ranked as country’s third best university followed by Hyderabad Central University which is ranked at 4. The two institutions, University of Hyderabad and JNU, have been the centre of debate over the death of Rohith Vemula and sedition row, respectively. The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) was launched by the HRD Ministry on 29th September, 2015. It evaluates higher educational institutions in Engineering, Management, Universities and Pharmacy categories Here’s the category-wise India Rankings 2016 Top 10 Universities in the country
