Last year, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust erected a 15-foot-wide iron mesh so that devotees seeking Ram Lalla's darshan could see the construction of the temple.
Swami Vivekananda Jagriti Samiti and Hanuman Granites supplied 10,000 granite stone pillars for the temple.
The ground floor of the temple, where the sanctum sanctorum will be located and where an idol of Ram Lalla will be placed, will be ready for prayers by December 2023. The full temple complex, however, is anticipated to be completed by 2025.
On August 5, 2020, the foundation stone was laid down by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the Ram temple in Ayodhya. The construction of the foundation of the Ram temple in Ayodhya is complete.
The total cost of construction of the Ram Mandir is estimated to be Rs 1,000 crore and the temple complex is likely to be spread across 110 acres.
