Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla Hospitalised After Chest Pain. Condition Stable

Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla has been admitted to Kailash Hospital in Uttar Pradesh’s Noida after he complained of chest pain.

New Delhi: Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, who was on a visit to Delhi, has been admitted to a hospital in Uttar Pradesh’s Noida after he complained of chest pain. Shukla, 70, was admitted to Kailash Hospital around midnight, hospital spokesperson VB Joshi told news agency PTI. His condition is stable. He was admitted to the hospital on Sunday at around 9 pm. Shukla will be discharged from the hospital after tests.

“The Himachal Pradesh governor was admitted to Kailash Hospital around midnight after he complained of chest pain. He is still in the hospital and undergoing tests and treatment. His condition is stable now,” Joshi said.

He has been in Delhi since Saturday on a visit. He made courtesy calls on President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar, and home minister Amit Shah among others, as reported by PTI.

Former Union Minister, Shiv Pratap Shukla, is a BJP leader, who assumed the charge as the 29th governor of Himachal Pradesh on February 18. He is a resident of Rudrapur in the Gorakhpur district of Uttar Pradesh and a four-time MLA. Talking with ANI previously Shukla said, "I would like to thank President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with the Union Home Minister for giving me this responsibility under their leadership. Whatever responsibility will be assigned to me, I will try to fulfill all and give my hundred per cent during my work tenure."

Furthermore, he said, "I would definitely like to thank all my supporters and well-wishers who gathered at the residence to thank me for this. They all welcomed me with flowers, garlands and sweets and I am delighted." Shukla started his political journey with RSS-affiliated Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).
