Haryana Assembly Election Results 2019: BJP Chief Amit Shah Summons Manohar Lal Khattar To Delhi As Haryana Stares At Hung House
Shah is expected to reach the BJP office in the afternoon to go into multiple huddles on Haryana.
New Delhi: In a sudden twist in early trends in the Haryana Assembly election results that threw up a close contest between the BJP and Congress, BJP president Amit Shah canceled his prescheduled engagements and called Haryana Chief Ministerial candidate of BJP Manohar Lal Khattar. As per the report, Shah spoke to Khattar over the phone and summoned him to the national capital to strategize. Shah is expected to reach the BJP office in the afternoon to go into multiple huddles on Haryana.
Amid the likely scenario of a hung assembly in Haryana, Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi has also spoken to senior leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda to stake stock of the latest situation in the state.
Meanwhile, efforts are already afoot to reach out to Chautala junior who very recently claimed that only his party will have they key to power in the state. As the counting of votes for the Haryana Assembly elections 2019 is underway, Jannayak Janta Party chief Dushyant Singh Chautala asserted that the key to power in Haryana lies with his party. “Neither BJP, nor Congress will win more than 40 seats. The key to power lies in JJP’s hands,” Chautala said.

In the initial rounds of counting on Thursday morning, BJP was leading on the majority of seats in Haryana, however, in the ensuing rounds, the Congress made up for the loss, and was seen giving a neck and neck fight to the BJP.
Earlier, the ABP News- C Voter exit poll predicted a landslide victory for BJP in Haryana. The Exit Poll predicted that the saffron party will clinch 70 of the 90 seats in the assembly. Congress continuing its dismal run is projected to win mere 8 seats, while other parties are limited to 12 seats.
If current trends hold, BJP (39) is little ahead of Congress (30) in Haryana but none are in position to form the Government on their own. JJP is leading in 11, while Independent (10), as counting progresses for the 90-member Assembly.
