5 Of Family Burnt Alive As Car Catches Fire After Smashing Into Tree In MP's Harda
Five of a family were burnt alive after their car caught fire after smashing into a tree in Madhya Pradesh’s Harda.
Five people of the same family were charred to death after their car went up in flames after smashing into a tree near the Nausar village in Madhya Pradesh’s Harda on Wednesday. The car caught fire after one of the tyres burst, a police official said as reported by news agency PTI. The accident occurred when the victims were returning to their village Varkala from Deepgaon after taking part in a wedding function, Timarni police station in-charge Sushil Patel said.

Timarni police station in-charge Sushil Patel said the deceased have been identified as Akhilesh Kushwaha, Rakesh Kushwaha, Shivani Kushwaha and Adarsh Choudhary, reported PTI.
The official further said all the victims were aged above 20 years.
He said, "The condition was so bad that bodies were not in a position to be identified," reported The Times of India.
“One of the car tyres burst following which the vehicle hit a tree and caught fire. The flames engulfed the car and its occupants got trapped inside the vehicle and died,” the official said as quoted by PTI.
He said the police rushed to the spot upon being informed to rescue the victims, but in vain.
A case has been registered and the bodies have been sent for autopsy and investigations are underway into the incident.
In a separate incident, a bus collided with the pilot car of Haryana Minister Banwari Lal's convoy earlier on Tuesday, police said as reported by PTI.
The incident took place between Kila Zaffargarh and Budha Khera in Haryana's Jind district. However, no injuries have been reported in the incident so far.
The police said Banwari Lal's convoy was travelling on Highway 152D when the collision took place.
The official added that the bus collided with the pilot car and shattered its windshield, reported PTI.
Officials have also confirmed that it was a private bus from Rajasthan.
