PM Modi Inaugurates Grameen Bharat Mahotsav 2025, Interacts With Artisans — WATCH
The Grameen Bharat Mahotsav will be held from January 4 to 9 with the theme 'Building a Resilient Rural India for a Viksit Bharat 2047'.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 'Grameen Bharat Mahotsav 2025', at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on Saturday. A six-day-long event to celebrate India’s entrepreneurial spirit and cultural heritage.
The festival was inaugurated by PM Modi at around 10:30 am and aims to foster rural development through innovation, self-reliance, and collaboration. During the event PM Modi interacted with the artisans. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was also present. PM Modi was also felicitated by National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) chairperson Shaji KV.

The event began on January 4 and will continue till January 9, the theme is 'Building a Resilient Rural India for Viksit Bharat 2047,' with the motto 'Gaon Badhe, Toh Desh Badhe (If the village progresses, the country progresses).'
In a post on X, PM Modi said, "The more prosperous our villages become, the greater will be their role in realizing the resolve of a developed India. In this connection, we will have the privilege of inaugurating the Rural India Festival in Delhi at around 11 am today. This event is going to be very useful for the rural economy."
As per ANI, according to the statement, the Mahotsav aims to enhance rural infrastructure create self-reliant economies, and foster innovation within rural communities through various discussions, workshops and masterclasses. The objectives include promoting economic stability and financial security among rural populations. A special focus will be on North-East India, with initiatives to ensure economic stability and financial security for rural populations.
The Mahotsav will bring together government officials, thinkers, entrepreneurs, artisans, and stakeholders from various sectors to discuss leveraging technology and innovative practices for rural transformation. Interactive sessions, workshops, and discussions will explore pathways to strengthen rural economies and livelihoods.
The Mahotsav will focus on empowering rural women through entrepreneurship, fostering collaboration among government officials, thought leaders, and stakeholders for rural transformation, promoting technology and innovation to improve rural livelihoods, and showcasing India's cultural heritage through performances and exhibitions.
