Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi Sent To Punjab Police Custody For 10 Days In Attempt To Murder Case
According to Moga police, on Bishnoi's orders, Canada-based Goldy Brar dispatched two gunmen, Jodhajit Singh and Monu Dagar, to kill Jatinder Kumar Neela.
In a case involving an attempted murder, Lawrence Bishnoi, a gangster, on Monday was sentenced to 10 days in police custody by the Malout court of chief judicial magistrate Preeti Sukhija in Punjab, news agency ANI reported.
Bishnoi is also one of the suspects in the slaying of musician Sidhu Moose Wala.
Gulneet Singh Khurana, senior superintendent of police in Moga, stated that Bishnoi was hauled in for interrogation in connection with an attempted murder case that had been filed in December 2021 and in which the police had apprehended sharpshooter Monu Dagar from Bishnoi's gang.
"We have got gangster Lawernce Bishnoi 10 days' police remand in an attempt to murder case of 2021. An accused arrested in this case had named him in police interrogation. He will be questioned in this case," SSP Khurana was quoted by ANI in its report.
Moga police used video surveillance to produce Bishnoi in court.

Dagar and Jodha arrived from Amritsar on a bike on December 1, 2021, equipped with two Zigana eagle pistols, and opened fire on Sunil Dhamija and his son Pratham Dhamija, mistaking the former for his brother Jatinder Neela.
At the Moga city police station, a FIR was filed under sections 307 (attempt to murder) of the IPC, 54, 59, 25 (weapons production, sale, repair, etc) of the Arms Act, and section 22 (contravention in connection to psychotropic drugs) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
Dagar, a resident of Haryana's Sonipat, was a wanted criminal as well as an accused in the Moose Wala murder case.
Lawrence Bishnoi, according to Punjab police, was a main conspirator in the death of Moose Wala. It had claimed that during the investigation of the Moose Wala murder case, the arrested accused's confessional statements were recorded, in which it was plainly stated that Lawrence Bishnoi had charged the co-accused with carrying out the premeditated murder of Sidhu Moose Wala.
On May 29, intruders shot and killed Sidhu Moose Wala in Jawaharke village of Punjab's Mansa district. The incident occurred a day after Punjab police removed his protection, along with 424 others.
