Prime Minister launched a scathing attack on Congress in his public address during the Eastern Peripheral Expressway inauguration.
He enumerated the instances when as per him the Congress had failed the people. He lashed out at Congress and said that caught in the momentum of opposing BJP, Congress has now started opposing the country also. “If any institution, whether internal or international, presents good figure of development, these people start questioning the credibility of those institutions as well”, he said. He said: “The truth is, Congress & its allies always mock anything & everything that is being done for all the backward classes, tribals. In an indirect comment at Congress chief Rahul Gandhi he said that some people do not have respect for the law. “They do not respect constitutional institutions.. the Election Commission and the Supreme Court”. While concluding his speech he said : “For them (Congress) the family is the country but for me my country is my family.”Ek parivar ki puja karne waale kabhi loktantra ki puja nahi kar sakte.
