Felt like cutting Ram Kripal Yadav’s hands with machine when he joined BJP: Misa Bharti

Speaking at the event, RJD chief Lalu Prasad's daughter Misa Bharti said she is now confident of her win this time as she didn't get enough time to prepare during 2014 polls.

NEW DELHI: RJD chief Lalu Prasad's daughter Misa Bharti on Wednesday said that she felt like chopping off Union Minister Ram Kripal Yadav's hands when she heard the news of him joining the BJP. While talking to news agency ANI, Bharti said "he (Ram Kripal Yadav) used to cut chaff. We had huge respect for him. However, we stopped respecting him when he went on to join hands with Sushil Kumar Modi.” “At that time I felt like cutting his hands from the same chaff cutting machine," Bharti said while addressing a gathering in Patna's Bikram area on January 16” she added. Speaking at the event, Bharti said she is now confident of her win this time as she didn't get enough time to prepare during 2014 polls. In 2014 general election, Ram Kripal Yadav won the Patliputra Lok Sabha seat by defeating Bharti. After nearly three decades of association with Lalu Prasad, Ram Kripal joined the BJP in March 2014 and endorsed Narendra Modi as "the man India is looking up to".  Ram Kripal Yadav was earlier a member of the Rashtriya Janata Dal. The politician had started his life as a shop owner and made his move slowly by entering politics at a urban body election to become the deputy mayor of Patna. He became a member of the Bihar legislative council in 1992, won a by-election to the Lok Sabha in 1993. (agency inputs) ABP NEWS is a free to air channel.
