Farraro saga is back! Shashi Tharoor tweets about his new book; Leaves Twitterati baffled over one word
From farrago to calumny, his selection of words has always been the talk of the town, especially in the social media universe.
New Delhi: Shashi Tharoor is back with his ‘FARRAGO-ISM’’! From farrago to calumny, his selection of words has always been the talk of the town, especially in the social media universe. The Congress MP has a habit of leaving people scratching their heads trying to decipher the meaning of his captions. And thus, when Tharoor on Wednesday tweeted about his new book, it was no different – just taciturn. “My new book, THE PARADOXICAL PRIME MINISTER, is more than just a 400-page exercise in floccinaucinihilipilification. Pre-order it to find out why!,” he tweeted. Yes, more than the book, that word ‘floccinaucinihilipilification’ caught the eyeball of many and as always Twitter’s favourite English teacher left everyone confused and looking for answers! As per dictionary, the word floccinaucinihilipilification is a noun which means - 'the action or habit of estimating something as worthless'. More than the book, Twitterrati are amused by Tharoor’s new English lesson and have already started the meme-fest in an after-class celebration.
Though Tharoor, in latest book ‘The Paradoxical Prime Minister’, talks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi but people are more concerned and are curiously talking about the phenomena called – floccinaucinihilipilification! Here is what people had to say:My new book, THE PARADOXICAL PRIME MINISTER, is more than just a 400-page exercise in floccinaucinihilipilification. Pre-order it to find out why!https://t.co/yHuCh2GZDM

I am wondering what Shashi Tharoor's Siri is like. Does she ask Shashi the meanings of words instead of it being the other way round?

His Siri might have committed suicide already. @ShashiTharoor might be the person AI companies are secretly hoping to build an assistant for.

I'll have to order a dictionary first, sir ;-)

@ShashiTharoor MASTER JI...the new for our Twitter English Teacher
Its a humble request sir, leave alone the meaning, Can you just pronounce this word from outer space for us! "Floccinaucinihilipilification" Trust me Such words have been forgotten even by the Oxford Dictionary — Hardeep Singh Arora (@hardeeparora91) October 10, 2018
Tharoor also shared a link to buy the book. “Narendra Modi is a paradoxical man. He says one thing and does another. He gives voice to a number of liberal ideas (such as the constitution being his holy book and sab ka saath, sab ka vikas), while at the same time pandering to some of the most illiberal elements in Indian society, on whom he depends for political support,” read the product description of the book. You should sell it with a dictionary attached
