External Forces Can't Violate Indian Territory: IAF Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari On 89th Foundation Day

"I pledge to do all I can to provide you with clear directions, good leadership and the best of resources that I can muster," IAF Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari said.

New Delhi: The Indian Air Force (IAF) Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari on the occasion of the 89th foundation day at the Hindon Air Force Station in Ghaziabad said that the external forces can't violate the Indian territory, ANI reported.

"When I look at the security scenario we face today, I'm acutely conscious that I've assumed command at a crucial time. We must demonstrate to the nation that external forces will not be allowed to violate our territory," IAF Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari was quoted by ANI on its official Twitter handle.

"I pledge to do all I can to provide you with clear directions, good leadership and the best of resources that I can muster," he added.

On the 89th anniversary of IAF, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his official Twitter handle writes, "Greetings to our air warriors and their families on Air Force Day. The Indian Air Force is synonymous with courage, diligence, and professionalism. They have distinguished themselves in defending the country and through their humanitarian spirit in times of challenges.”

Earlier, while addressing the media ahead of the 89th anniversary of the Air Force, IAF Chief said that IAF is committed to the theatralisation programme and initiative should be taken forward with the involvement of all the three forces. He further said that the IAF is prepared to deal with the threat to security in east Ladakh and new infrastructure will be created on the Chinese side to increase India's combat.

The Indian Air Force was established on October 8, 1932, to support the United Kingdom's, Royal Air Force. Initially known as the Royal Indian Air Force, the prefix Royal was dropped in 1950 when India transitioned into a Republic.
