A 28-year-old engineer of a private company died on Monday allegedly after a “temporary lift” of an under-construction building crashed in Greater Noida, police officials said. The incident took place around 4.15 pm in Sector 150, under Knowledge Park police station limits, during the process to remove a temporary lift (used for transporting construction material) from the 25th floor-height of one of the residential towers, a senior official said.

“The deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Ritik Rathore, a native of Firozabad district. He had come to remove the temporary lift and during the process, the supporting system could not bear the load of the lift, which crashed on the ground,” Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Greater Noida) Dinesh Kumar Singh said.
