Do not take opposition 'lightly', PM Modi tells BJP workers ahead of national executive meet
Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh): Prime Minister Narendra Modi has told the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers not to take the opposition lightly and counter their accusations by working for the people.
According to sources, Prime Minister Modi made this assertion during a meeting with the BJP's national office bearers' held ahead of the two-day national executive meet in Allahabad.
The Prime Minister called for making the party strong from within and said that the 11 crore people, who became party members following the online membership drive, should take forward the government's initiatives to the common man.
He is said to have urged the party workers to ensure that benefits of social schemes reach the people at the earliest.
Besides Prime Minister Modi, the national executive meeting would be attended by party president Amit Shah, senior members of the Union Cabinet, Chief Ministers of the BJP-ruled states and Members of Parliament.
