Delhi receives first spell of showers after prolonged heat
People of Delhi finally got a respite from the scorching heat as weather turned pleasant on Wednesday morning.
New Delhi: After putting up with the sweltering heat since long, the people of Delhi NCR finally got some respite as weather took a pleasant turn.
Wednesday morning, the city woke up to witness pleasant showers which started at around 5 am. Although the weather had become cloudy on Tuesday and clouds remained all day long, downpour started only on Wednesday morning.
The mercury level that had come down significantly on Tuesday itself, declined further more today. The minimum temperature recorded on Tuesday was 27 degree Celsius. The weather department had predicted possibility of a dust storm in the city. As per Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) clouds will cover the sky daylong and intermittent drizzles will continue. As per IMD’s forecast the maximum temperature of the city is likely to remain around 32 degree Celsius while minimum is likely to stay around 27 degrees.Delhi witnesses drizzle.
