Decreasing soldiers' disability pension very wrong: Kejriwal

New Delhi:  Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday said that central government's decision to decrease disability pension for soldiers is "very wrong". "This (decreasing disability pension) is very wrong. Our soldiers deserve better. I urge centre to increase disability pension and not decrease it," he said in a tweet. The defence ministry has uploaded a draft notification on its website on the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission, which when it comes into effect, will significantly reduce the disability pension for soldiers. Defence ministry officials were unwilling to officially comment on the matter, with one saying the matter was being taken up with the anomalies committee.
