India's Daily Covid Cases Remain Below 50K, Recovery Rate Improves To 96.97%

The testing capacity substantially ramped up with 41.20 cr total tests conducted.

New Delhi: In the last 24 hours, India reports 48,786 new cases whereas 61,588 patients recovered during the last 24 hours bringing the active caseload to 5,23,257. According to the Press Information Bureau, 33.57 Cr. vaccine doses have been administered nationwide.

Then total recoveries across the country so far is reported to be 2,94,88,918. For the 49th consecutive day, daily recoveries outnumber the new cases recorded, which is a huge relief. The recovery rate has increased to 96.97%.

The weekly positivity rate remains below 5%, currently at 2.64% meanwhile, the daily positivity rate at 2.54%, less than 5% for 24 consecutive days. The testing capacity substantially ramped up with 41.20 cr total tests conducted.
