Coronavirus HIGHLIGHTS, Wednesday July 14: With 3.9 lakh new Covid cases being reported across globe each day, Central government has urged to join hands to ensure the third wave does not hit India. The Centre has  said that the focus should be on keeping the third wave at bay instead of discussing when it would come in India.

Meanwhile, India’s cumulative Covid vaccination coverage has exceeded 38.50 crore. As many as 34,10,974 vaccine doses have been administered in past 24 hours. While multiple states across country have complained about shortage of vaccines, the Union Health Ministry said the Government of India, as part of the nationwide vaccination drive, has been supporting the states and Union Territories by providing them Covid vaccines free of cost. It further said that the situation is dynamic and everything is happening in coordination with the state governments.
